Do We Even Need To Get The Medical License Yet?

  We creep into the 2nd month of the first quarter of a new year. New laws and new politics have begun to reshape our land of the free. Perhaps we are greener, free'er to building our communities. Particularly,  a greener future in the Bluegrass State. We are waiting for dispensaries.

    

   

       Kentucky has legalized medical cannabis. Meanwhile the topic of licenses came up in a discussion I had with a Cannabis Attorney who represents a lot of stake holders in this green rush. 

After discussing the current pace of things he made a valid point. What's the use of getting the license. At this time, if you have the letter from the practitioner, you're good. You have all you need to follow the Executive Order set by the governor. You can travel to any state, shop recreational, and keep that practitioner letter on you, keep the weed in the bag with the receipt. 

   What if we end up waiting up to 20 months before we have a steady flow of cannabis. What if for almost the 1st two years, supply is scarce. We would be paying a license fee with no use in State. The license would give you a discount in many rec dispensaries in neighboring states.
